Scope of the Position:
HKI Tanzania is seeking an unpaid Procurement and Clearing Intern for a 3-month period to assist with the importation of medical equipment and supplies, and to assist with procurement of vendors for the provision of routine services and goods. This role will include assisting the Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) team to obtain import tax exemptions and the relevant import permits as well as managing inventory and assisting with disbursal to program partners. The intern will also assist the HKI Tanzania administrative team by conducting research and by working with vendors as part of routine procurement of goods and services for various programmatic activities.
The Intern will report jointly to the Finance and Admin Manager and the Head of NTD Programs. In collaboration with the managers, the selected candidate will create a set of learning goals upon commencement of the role which will be monitored throughout the course of the internship to ensure that the internship provides opportunities for learning and professional growth.
