JOB PURPOSE

The Digital Senior Specialist’s role is to conceptualize, design, create, and deliver digital products and services, and programs to drive revenue growth, product awareness and adoption; and digital engagement of Tigo all services and products.

This role requires the following:
1. Digital Product & Service Innovation
2. Digital Product & Service Development and Launch
3. Digital Product Management
4. Project Management
5. Revenue Ownership
6. Digital Product/platform custodian - Web, APP and Digital VAS
7. Digital Product & Service Compliance

Reporting to the Manager,
VAS and Digital Services, Digital Senior Specialist also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of all projects

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Product & Service Innovation

  • Responsible for conceptualizing, designing and creating digital products and services, campaigns and programs roadmap for Tigo Tanzania
  • Periodic Reviews of Digital Roadmap based on market trends and competitive environment.
  • Timely and rational decision making related to the digital portfolio.

Digital Product & Service Development and Launch

  • Lead and drive the development of the Digital Services
  • Responsible for the full ownership of digital products, platforms and services and for following through on the timely development and rollout of all products and services as agreed on the Digital Services Product roadmap.
  • Responsible for producing all product development documentation and interfacing with supporting units related to the Launch of digital services such as blue print and Change Request (CR).

Digital Product Management

  • Manage product lifecycle and co-ordinate activities required for achieving same.
  • Ensure product and services KPIs reviews are executed periodically
  • Ensure the articulation and dissemination of information on new Digital VAS services to all stakeholders.
  • Track and analyze results of digital product and service and programs launched and recommends optimizations/modifications as appropriate.
  • Responsible for collating and publishing product KPI reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Project Management

  • Create and Lead cross functional team in execution of all Digital products and services
  • Vendor and 3rd party relationship management within the digital VAS product development cycle is key.

Revenue Ownership

  • Responsible for Revenue drivers to achieve set objectives Revenue, Customer, Usage on all Tigo Digital products, services and platforms
  • Periodic reports of all agreed KPIs

Digital Product/platform custodian - Web, APP and Digital VAS

  • Vendor and 3rd party relationship management within the digital VAS product development cycle is key.
  • Responsible for the management of Web, App and Digital VAS Platform

Digital Product & Service Compliance

  • Ensure digital product and service testing methodology is adhered to prior to launch of all digital products and services
  • Ensures all digital products and services and programs are launched and managed with Tigo compliance standards.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Achievement of sales, profit, and strategic objectives for the digital channel performance.
  • Accountable for the on-time implementation of digital quotas and performance objectives.
  • Accountable for the thorough implementation of digital channel initiatives.
  • Responsible for the achievement of digital channel performances.
  • Accountable for accurate and on-time reporting essential for all digital Services.
  • Achievement of strategic objectives defined by company management.
  • Accountable for projects delivering related to digital products, services, programs and performances within agreed timescales, resource and quality requirements.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of proven experience in Telecommunications, project management, managing digital and VAS projects.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and vendors and developing new capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Project management
  • Substantial knowledge (technical and commercial) of mobile & digital technologies.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Visio
  • Graphic design skills desirable
  • Responsive design website development experience desirable
  • Proven competency with social media, email marketing strategy, website strategy development, and web analytics.
  • Grasp of all Paid Search mediums including remarketing, display & content, mobile, video desirable
  • Experience creating and developing digital marketing best practices within an organization.
