The Lawns Hotel is situated at the entrance of the township atop a hill overlooking most of the village, surrounded by beautiful lawns, flowers and trees.
The hotel is over 100 years old and the soothing ambience reflects this with fireplaces and wooden finished rooms. The rooms are comfortable and large, most with their own ensuites.

The spectacular viewpoints, which look into the Masaii steps, sheer drops below, to the main Arusha - Dar-Es-Salaam highway. Paragliding and Hang gliding is popular at these spots, however, to do so, you need your own equipment.
One of the best viewpoints is known in Kiswahili as "Jiwe La Mungu" meaning "The Stone of God". Take a 20km drive to Bumbuli through tea plantations where you can sample the local brew.
