The MAVCODEG aka MAENDELEO MASAERA is a community initiative whose objective is to rehabilitate the indigenously engineered irrigation canal so as to have constant water to irrigate the land and so produce adequate agricultural outputs to sustain the Masaera Villagers in Moshi Rural District in Kilimanjaro,Region , Tanzania. MAVCODEG is affiliated to Engineers Without Borders USA, Valparaiso Univeristy Chapter and have been collaborating for three years now. Last May the EWB-USA group collaborated with Masaera Villagers in constructing a dropbox to prevent soil erosion and control water flow in its first branch. Sponsorship is requested from charitable departments of respectable companies. Engineer Edmund Kailo is our contact in Dar es Salaam.
