Roles & Functions: Following Government's redefinition of its roles in 1995, we devoted some of our responsibilities to local authorities and communities. We are therefore, charged with the task of ensuring sustainable conservation of natural and cultural resources and development of tourism industry by promoting and enhancing participation of different stakeholders. Our roles and functions are assigned to four sectoral divisions namely: Antiquities, Tourism, Wildlife, Forestry and Beekeeping, accompanying with two supportive divisions (Policy and Planning, and Administration and Personnel) and Six units (Accounts, Legal, Internal Audit, Procurement, ICT and Communications).
