About Scuba Diving @ Lake Shore Lodge:

We are affiliated to PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors) and are the only registered dive operation on Lake Tanganyika. There are more than 280 species of cichlid fish found in the clear waters of Lake Tanganyika. Come and explore this incredible Lake with us.

Full day diving: Join us for a whole day of fun with 2 dives at different locations and a delicious picnic lunch.

Half day dive trips: Enjoy either a morning or afternoon dive at one of our untouched dive spots. This leaves the rest of the day free for a siesta, relaxation or more adventure.

1 - 7 Day dive Excursions: Our Dive Safaris allow you to truly discover a world that few have seen. After a day of diving we will take you to a pristine bay and set up camp for the evening. Watch the sun set behind the distant Congo mountains and enjoy your dinner at the water's edge under the stars - this is what life is all about!

This is the world’s biggest fresh water aquarium! The crystal clear water is literally alive with fish.

For those who prefer to snorkel rather than dive, we offer full day and half day trips to the nearby islands. We have seven islands in a 15km radius of Lake Shore Lodge. The huge rocks on the edges of these islands are home to hundreds of different species of cichlid fish. We would love to show you around our world.
