About Red Monkey Lodge:

Red Monkey lodge is a cozy small beach lodge with only 9 rooms, restaurant and bar, located in Jambiani on the wonderful south east coast of Zanzibar.

The Red Monkey Lodge is the realisation of a life time dream and intends to be a non pretentious and laid back location for holidays, while offering high level service to spoil our guests. Keywords are: barefoot, informal, cozy, watersports and great food & drinks.

We do not offer neither animation programs nor plasma screens in the rooms and prefer guests that have genuine interest for their environment and the local culture.

Completely restructured in autumn of 2010, this cosy lodge is positioned right on the sandy beach next to a small tropical forest which is home of the red colobus monkeys, that give the name to the lodge.

In front of Red Monkey Lodge there is a 2 kilometre long sandbank that reaches from the beach far out into the water, and about 2 km away from shore there is the barrier reef.
